Heineken USA sponsors the rides as a safe and convenient travel option to ring in 2019
PATCO today announced that it will offer free train rides for New Year’s Eve for the third year in a row. The free rides this year are thanks in part to an advertising sponsorship with Heineken USA. Advertisements promoting the free rides are running in stations now through January 1.
The free rides are aimed at offering a responsible, convenient travel option for those who want to enjoy New Year’s Eve festivities without the worry and hassle of driving.
The free rides will begin at 8 p.m. on December 31, 2018 and run through 4 a.m. on January 1, 2019. During those hours, station fare gates will be open to allow free passage. If a rider boards right before 4 a.m. and reaches their destination station after 4 a.m. when the gates close, they are asked to pick up the red phone and a Customer Service Agent will open the gate to allow exit.
PATCO will operate a special holiday schedule on New Year’s Eve with 6-car trains running every 15 minutes from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and every 30 minutes from 11:30 p.m. to 3 a.m. Exact schedule information will be posted when available.
