8th & Market St. Station: Spiral Staircase Closed Starting 10/15

Starting Tuesday, October 15, 2024, the spiral staircase from the concourse area to the southeast corner of 8th & Market Streets will be continuously closed until further notice. This closure is necessary to facilitate a water mitigation and structural repair project at the station.

During this time, the corridor leading to the 8th & Chestnut Street stairwells will be open daily, except during the overnight hours from 12:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. All other stairwells and the elevator are expected to remain open as usual.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as these important improvements are being conducted to the station.

Alternate Means of Transportation for Individuals with Disabilities

If you arrive at a particular station and find the elevator out of service, PATCO will arrange for alternate transportation to the closest station with an operating elevator. You can either call (856) 772-6900 or use the elevator intercom/phone to make a request.
