FREEDOM is an advanced fare collection system that makes riding PATCO trains more convenient than ever. It uses state of-the-art Smart Cards, Paper Tickets, Automated Vending Machines (AVMs), Entry/Exit Gates and Parking Gates - all linked together by a computer system - to speed your travel.

Depending on your frequency of travel, you can choose to ride with the FREEDOM Smart Card or with Paper Tickets.
